Sydney, Australia – 23 November 2016 – Saasabi, creator of powerful, yet easy-to-use cloud analytics tools, today announces experienced technology and management expert Don Campbell has come aboard to assist the company in an advisory role as it heads into a period of rapid growth.
Don has more than 30 years of high tech experience, including 20 at Cognos, one of the world’s leading analytics providers. Don, a two-time winner of the International Business Award, served as CTO of Cognos until IBM acquired it in 2008. Don went on to serve as CTO of Business Analytics for IBM through 2012 where he was a member of IBM’s prestigious Academy of Technology. Since then, Don has focused on providing his technology and management expertise to businesses around the globe across a variety of industries.
“Don’s broad and deep experience with business intelligence and analytics and his insatiable curiosity about the world of technology make him an ideal addition to the Saasabi team,” says David Merchant, CEO of Saasabi, of his former colleague from IBM. “We are delighted that Don has recognised the value that Saasabi can bring to the marketplace and wants to help us take the company to the next level.”
“Saasabi has a modern take on a tried-and-true analytics approach, online analytical processing (OLAP). Their software takes the best of an established technology and makes it highly scalable, incredibly powerful and ideal for the cloud environment. And customers are taking notice,” says Don Campbell. “I’ve seen my share of analytics solutions, and Saasabi’s is quite impressive.”
